What SoberHero knows about you — and what it never will.

SoberHero is a sobriety companion app with an anonymous peer-support community (the Brotherhood). SoberHero is operated by Denis Kozlov (an individual), who is responsible for your data (the data controller). This document explains what data the app handles. Contact: info@sober-hero.com.
You sign in with your Apple ID through Sign in with Apple. We do not request your name or email address from Apple and never ask for a phone number — Apple shares only an anonymous identifier with us, and that is all we store. Inside the app you appear under a hero name you invent.
Your personal "why", daily check-ins (mood, craving level, one word), coping-session history, reminder times, and Apple Health walking minutes are stored only on your device. Walking data is read from Apple Health solely to track the Walk mission and is never uploaded.
When you are signed in we sync: the hero name, tagline, avatar and language you chose; your progression numbers (Resolve, level, streak start, slips, battles won, per-day mission counts); the content you post to the community (posts, comments, SOS calls, direct messages); your device's push token; and anonymous usage counters and crash reports. We never sell any of it, and we don't use third-party advertising or tracking.
Posts, comments, and SOS calls are visible to other members. Don't share information that could identify you or others. We may remove content that is abusive, unsafe, or off-mission, and repeated violations can end an account.
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on access-controlled servers. Your progression data is tied only to your anonymous account identifier.
You can export your progress any time (Settings → Export My Progress). Settings → Remove Account, once you confirm, permanently erases your device data and deletes your server account — posts, comments, messages and progression are removed right away; uploaded images and the Sign in with Apple link are cleaned up automatically shortly after. It needs no support request. Removing the account does not cancel an App Store subscription: manage or cancel it in your Apple Account → Subscriptions.
Brotherhood Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. To unlock Pro on our servers, the app sends Apple's signed record of your subscription; we keep only the plan, its expiry date and Apple's transaction identifier, linked to your anonymous account. Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.
SoberHero is a self-help and peer-support tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care for substance-use disorders. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services or a professional helpline immediately.
